Rivé Pipe Organ Co. was founded in the late 1800’s by Adolph Rivé.  Rivé Pipe Organ was originally located in the Warehouse district of New Orleans.  In the mid 1970’s, we moved to our present location in Metairie, Louisiana.  Our company is now headed by family members Billy Rivé and Beau Gelpi. We service and maintain organs in five southern states.  We can handle all of your pipe organ needs, from tuning and maintenance to total rebuilds.

The pipe organ (also known as church organ or chapel organ) is a musical instrument that produces sound by driving pressurized air (called wind) through pipes selected via a keyboard. Because each organ pipe produces a single pitch, the pipes are provided in sets called ranks, each of which has a common timbre and volume throughout the keyboard compass. Most organs have multiple ranks of pipes of differing timbre, pitch and volume that the player can employ singly or in combination through the use of controls called stops. - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
